Summer Air
Bart Levy

A quiet sense of atmosphere runs through this body of work—landscapes where the sky carries the moment and the land remains a steady presence below.
In Summer Air, Bart Levy returns to what first shaped her way of seeing: wide, open skies, shifting light, and the particular quality of air that belongs only to summer. Clouds build and dissolve, light moves across water, and nothing holds for long.
Working in oil and cold wax, Levy builds each surface with a soft, tactile presence—layers that hold light while allowing the image to breathe. The medium supports the subject: air, atmosphere, and the subtle movement of time.
These paintings are not about describing a place, but about experiencing it. They ask for unhurried looking—an openness to light, air, and time as they unfold.
Visitors are invited to spend time with the paintings, experience their scale and surface texture, and move through the work at their own pace.
