David Cressman

Atmospheric landscape painter

(b1980) David is self taught and started painting in 2005 following a visit to the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art where he was inspired by the french impressionist collection and in particular the mesmerising works of Claude Monet.

The influence of the early impressionist painters can be seen in his work, in which he seeks to capture light and atmospheric effects in landscape using loose expressive brush work.

David has had work exhibited and sold in galleries in both the UK and Overseas, and in 2011 received the honour of a Jury's Top 50 award at the prestigious Salon International Show in Texas.
