Henrietta Beightol

Covered Wagon.jpg

I grew up in a family of artists that goes back to my great-grandfather, William Flechsing, who traveled across the United States in a covered wagon, selling his artwork along the way. Before I even learned to read, I was learning to paint at the hands of my grandmother, Henrietta Flechsing Badraun, one of many in our family who carried on William Flechsing’s footsteps.

My work is deeply influenced by the Impressionists, especially Van Gogh, as well as the great Dutch masters of the 17th century. Light and color are my constant companions, and their interplay continues to inspire everything I create.

A Family Tradition

“Art is in my bloodline. Each canvas is a continuation of my family’s story.”
