Two scullers move quietly through the river, almost absorbed into the atmosphere around them. The painting carries that fleeting early-morning stillness when light, water and movement seem to merge into one.
Part of the 2014 ART and AIR series, Shadows is less about the figures themselves than the feeling of passing through a moment that will not last.
