The painting that began the 2014 ART and AIR sequence. Inspired by an early-morning sunrise along the Delaware River, AIR is built around atmosphere, reflected light and the changing surface of the water.
The landscape is present, but only just. Light and air do most of the work, allowing the painting to hover between representation and abstraction.
